Shabbos Afternoon Classes

Through the magic of the internet,

participants in multiple locations can join together

for Jewish Education and Torah Learning.

Spend Shabbat afternoon the way it was meant to be—in relaxed, peaceful, inspirational exploration of Jewish texts

Shabbos Afternoon Classes

Torah Study:

We will explore the Torah portion of the week and its commentary with a particular emphasis on what modern lessons we can take from this ancient text. All texts are presented in English.

Talmud Study:

On an ongoing basis, we will work our way through various sections of the Talmud—the foundational text of post-Biblical Judaism. I will pick Talmud sections with particular relevance to modern life. Again, all texts are presented in English.

Mussar Study:

Mussar is the genre of Jewish literature dedicated to the improvement of personal character. Each week we will explore a Jewish virtue, some of the mussar texts related to it, and give participants the opportunity to directly affect their way of living.
