Jews anchor their spiritual and religious life in the study of our sacred texts and tradition. I am particularly proud that most people point to my teaching ability as one of my greatest strengths. I firmly believe that “informed choice” is the right of every modern Jew, but that means modern Jews must have the Basic Judaism and Lifelong Jewish Education to make their choices. Contact me for information about in-person and live on-line Jewish Education opportunities of all types--from Torah Study to Basic Judaism to Jewish Study tours around the world. Every opportunity is a chance to deepen your Jewish Identity.

1-day Hebrew
In one exhausting but fun-filled 8-hour day, participants will learn all the letters and vowels of the Hebrew Alef-Bet, and will be able to read and translate the first verse of the Torah.
Alef (level 1) 8-sessions:
Eight 90-minute sessions provide the opportunity to learn or re-learn the letters and vowels of the Alef-Bet plus critical basic grammar concepts sufficient to get the “basic idea” of words and sentences. This program is based on Jewish prayers.
Bet (level 2) 8-sessions:
Also based on Jewish prayers, Bet students gain sufficient grammar skills to get the “basic idea” of sentences and prayers.
Gimel (level 3) 8-sessions:
The focus of this 3rd level of adult Hebrew shifts from Prayer Book to Torah. Additional grammatical concepts beyond Alef and Bet expand the student’s ability to understand both prayers and passages from sacred texts.
Dalet (level 4) 8-sessions:
Continuing beyond level gimel, students engage in in-depth study of Biblical Hebrew, using various translations to understand grammatical concepts and nuances of the Biblical text.
