Copyrighted, award-winning program deepening the student & family’s experience 

 A great addition to the basic Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation offered at most synagogues

 

 

·          Exploring the Meaning of Bar/Bat Mitzvah

·          Torah & Haftarah background assignment to contextualize the student’s portions

·          3 sessions exploring the Torah & Haftarah Portions in English, including commentaries and basic outline of a D’var Torah (Torah speech)

·          The structure and content of the prayer service

·          Exploring key prayers in the Prayer Service (their meaning)

·          Spiritual Genealogy

·          Personal spiritual practices

·          Jewish traditions to facilitate personal growth and development

·          Connecting the party to the Bar/Bat Mitzvah

·          Strengthening connection with Israel

·          Mitzvah project

·          Tzedakah project

·          Holocaust project

·          G’milut Chassadim project

·          Post Bar/Bat Mitzvah Assignment

 

 

Typically:

·         15-Month Program

·         Monthly family sessions

·         Assumes the student is also receiving basic Bar/Bat Mitzvah tutoring either with Rabbi Miller or elsewhere.
