Synagogue of the Greater Whole
The Synagogue of the Greater Whole attempts to provide Jewish services and education to those who seek it, but who are not connected to a physical synagogue.
The project also provides services to existing physical synagogues and Rabbis who wish to supplement their programs.
The Synagogue of the Greater Whole services 4 primary groups:
- Jews and those interested in a connection to Judaism, Lifecycle services (Bar Mitzvah & Bat Mitzvah, Weddings, Bris & Baby Naming, Spiritual Counseling, Torah Study, etc), Jewish education (Basic Judaism, Torah Study, Jewish History, etc), but who are not connected to a physical synagogue.
- People exploring Conversion to Judaism.
- Small congregations who may be served by a student or part-time Rabbi who--with full support of their student rabbi or part-time Rabbi--wish to supplement their programmatic offerings (for example a congregation served monthly by a student Rabbi may also wish to offer a weekly education class provided by Rabbi Miller via webinar--online seminar).
- Full-service congregations who--with full support of their Rabbi--wish to supplement the programs they offer, but cannot (usually for financial reasons) afford additional dedicated staff/clergy to provide these additional programs.
All services offered by Rabbi Miller directly are available either for free or at greatly reduced rates to members of the Synagogue of the Greater Whole.
Membership is on a sliding scale from $500-$2000 per year.
