RE: A general letter of support for Rabbi Yitzhak J. Miller, particularly concerning the story about his resignation that appeared in the Riverside Press-Enterprise on Jan 25, 2008
To Whom It May Concern:
We, the undersigned representatives of the Riverside Clergy Caucus, write this letter in an attempt to balance the perspective regarding Rabbi Yitzhak Miller, which has been excessively influenced by the article published in the Riverside Press-Enterprise on January 25th.
We have, individually and collectively, worked with Rabbi Miller throughout his multi-year tenure as Rabbi in Riverside. We have invited—and continue to invite—Rabbi Miller to our congregations, both for gatherings of clergy and for public presentations. Many of us also have and continue to spend time with him personally. We sign this letter attesting to his strength of character both as a Rabbi and as a human being.
Though we cannot predict nor guarantee the future, we do not have any reason to believe that the incident he was involved in in November indicates any risk in hiring or employing him, and affirm that he would be a positive influence and an invaluable asset to any community.
